Main goal

Development of new polymeric materials: High performance polymers, nanocomposites, polymeric devices

Main Research Lines

  • Development of conjugated polymers for flexible solar cells (OPV, Perovskita) and Light Emitting Diodes (OLED).
  • Thermoelectric, Piezoelectric, Smart Windows (Suspended Particle Devices).
  • Development of materials for the oil industry (Polyamides, PVDF, PEEK). Determination of gas permeability.
  • UHMWPE processing: fibers, blends and nanocomposites.
  • SSynthesis / preparation of nanocomposites (Polym. In situ and mixture in the molten state, reinforcing agents: cellulosic fibers, ceramic particles, silica, alumina, CNT, graphene, MMT, mica, haloisite).
  • Compatible composites: PP, PA, Biopolymers (PLA, PCL, PHB, PBAT)
  • Process of steam explosion in vegetable fibers - Nanocellulose.
  • Plastic catalytic pyrolysis. Chemical recycling.
  • Nanoparticulate systems for drug release.
