The course that is part of the extension program is carried out in an approximate period of 4 months, with the aim of presenting high school students in public schools with a science laboratory and technically qualifying them to develop the main laboratory activities at the level of laboratory assistant.

Menu:

  • Presentation of safety standards (workload: 6 hours);
  • Presentation of laboratory equipment and glassware (workload: 3 hours);
  • Weighing, temperature measurements and handling with volumetric containers (load: 3 hours);
  • Solubility (workload: 3 hours);
  • Preparation of solutions (workload: 9 hours);
  • Practical test (workload: 3 hours);
  • Degree (workload: 4 hours);
  • Chemical reactions (workload: 3 hours);
  • Characterization of substances in acid and base in aqueous medium by indicators (workload: 9 hours);
  • Acid rain (workload: 3 hours);
  • Written test / Practical test.

From the partnership between the Institute of Macromolecules Professor Eloísa Mano (IMA) with the Institute of Physics (IF), Polytechnic School (Poli) and the Biophysics Institute Carlos Chagas Filho (IBCCF), the proposal, pioneer in Brazil, of a graduation in Nanotechnology.
