Module I - Polymer Science

  • Polymers: what they are, where they come from and their value;
  • Polymers properties;
  • Matrices, loads (macro, micro and nano) and additives;
  • Polyaddition and Polycondensation;
  • Polymerization kinetics;
  • Polymerization via free radicals, ionic (anionic and cationic).

Module II - Characterization of Polymers

  • Thermal analysis;
  • Spectroscopic analyzes;
  • Microscopy techniques;
  • Morphological characterization..

Module III - Polymer Processing

Teacher: Vinícius Aguiar
Course hours:
20 hours

  • Additivation;
  • Elastomers;
  • Thermoplastic elastomers;
  • MFI;
  • Description of equipment and process: Pressing, Rotational Molding, Thermoforming, Extrusion, Injection and Blow.
